Just after Ash graduates medical school at the top of his class, the world ends. Now in a new world, he has nothing. No money, nowhere to live, no legal identity. The only thing he has going for him is the companionship of the now-rogue angel Rory. As his efforts to rebuild his life grow more and more desperate, Ash is drawn into a conflict that may well threaten the fate of the world- again.
